Block Eight

The welcome hamper was delicious, and the villa was immaculate, with thoughtful extras like games, wines, and luxury toiletries. Our Tree Tops Villa had plenty of room for two and sat near a dam among the bushland. The property is beautiful, and the farm animals are very friendly. The kitchen was well appointed, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and we loved the huge spa bath and double shower. Reading Todd's book before arriving is a good idea. It’s entertaining, and learning how and why Todd and Jeff created Block Eight added a lot to our stay. We had one of the most relaxing and wonderful weekends away we can remember. Thanks again, we’ll definitely be back soon.

We had such a peaceful weekend in the waterview villa, and Todd and Jeff went out of their way to look after us. It was huge, beautifully decorated, and really warm in winter. They’d also catered for our food allergies, with plenty of breakfast food. On our last day we wandered down to take in the lovely view from the wine room and meet Helga the pig. Absolutely wonderful stay.

The bird life was stunning, and spotting Oriental Dollar Birds was a nice bonus. The property and cabin are beautiful, with easy access to lots of wineries and a great breakfast box. We stayed five nights, and it was so private and quiet that it almost felt like camping in the wilderness, while still having the elegance and comfort of a villa. For a longer visit, I’d suggest supplying more coffee. Five pods for two people didn’t really go far enough, and extra towels would have been helpful too. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it. Very glad we chose Block Eight.

Gum Trees was relaxing, secluded, and well equipped. I can’t recommend Block Eight enough. The setting is stunning, with lovely places to wander around, plenty of wildlife, and the wine room. We enjoyed having a glass of wine as we explored. Restaurants, wineries, and other activities around the Hunter are only a short drive away. Just perfect!
