We ordered the chicken schnitzel, but the chicken tasted very sour and strange, and it was yellow. I was sure it was off. We told the waitress, who said there was nothing wrong with it. We didn't eat any of it. She was so rude and showed no hospitality at all. We definitely won't come back.

This is a review of the restaurant only. The view is a million-dollar one, and service was great. The specials board looked fantastic, and my pork belly with scallops on mash was delicious. My partner had the massive seafood plate with chips and salad. Wine was reasonably priced at $7 a glass. I'd recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner.

We found The Surfside Beaumaris a real hidden gem and good value, tucked right on the beach in a beautiful spot. The lovely couple who run it gave us a warm, genuine welcome and clearly put a lot of care and passion into making guests feel at home. The beachside restaurant was a highlight too, with relaxed surroundings, stunning ocean views, and excellent service. The food was awesome, freshly cooked, full of flavour, and made with great local Tasmanian ingredients. It was such a pleasure to eat while looking out at the water. For a peaceful getaway with incredible views and owners who really care, we’d happily return. It was a lovely stay and a highlight of our trip.

This is just about the surf side bistro. It's right on the main drag through Beaumaris, with fast service and a friendly smile. Nik, you're awesome, keep grinding, girl! There's a good range of grown-up drinks and plenty to choose from on the food menu. By the way, you can rent one of their rooms too. Swing by and get you some!

The room was clean and comfortable enough, but one of the owners absolutely berated us for making mushroom soup in the room. There was a microwave and an advertised kitchenette, so we thought it was allowed. Maybe they need a sign saying no cooking. The way we were spoken to was rude and disrespectful, an understatement. I was left in total shock, and the trip was ruined.
