The wildlife was such a treat, and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere. Deshons Retreat is beautifully cared for and makes a relaxing escape, even though everything is only a short drive away. Once you’re there, it feels a million miles from anyone. Linda and Nigel were fantastic hosts and couldn’t have done more to make us comfortable. We loved our stay. Thank you, five stars!

I don’t usually write reviews, but Deshons really stood out. I loved the calm surroundings, the fresh smell of the breeze and kangaroos hopping through the green valley right outside the door. The room was comfortable, clean and inviting, and the natural setting was stunning. I was in Kingaroy for work and had wondered if the drive from town would be a problem, but it really wasn’t far. The welcome was lovely too. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Deshons.

The view across the valley was beautiful, and the bed was comfy with a nice bath. We had a breakfast hamper with fresh juice, homemade bread and plunger coffee. Everything was amazing, and the hosts were wonderful. A great place to stay.

A cosy wood fire, quality furnishings and a peaceful rural setting made for a lovely stay. The price was pleasant too. We’d definitely try to stay again when we visit Kingaroy, and highly recommend it.
