The animals made this such a great place for me, cows, sheep, alpacas, cats and dogs everywhere. Cath is a fantastic cook and host, an absolute legend. The house is cosy and comfortable, and the property is beautiful. If you want to experience the amazing mid-north coast region, I highly recommend staying here. I’ll be back as soon as I can!

Billabong life is lovely! This place is perfectly placed about halfway between Byron Bay and Sydney, a little closer to Sydney. We arrived at short notice, and Cath still made everything feel just right. She welcomed us with a big smile, offered tea and coffee, and even found the instant noodles I was hoping for. We had a tasty late-night snack and a really nice chat. There’s so much peace and warmth here that, for a while, it felt like the best place on the planet. What a hidden gem.

On our way back to Sydney, we were lucky to come across this lovely place. The 100 year old house has loads of character, and Cath was an awesome host who couldn’t have been more helpful. We’ll stop here again 😊

Billabong Cottage feels uplifting and luxurious, while still reminding you how good the simple things can be. The host is thoughtful and helpful, just like sunshine. It’s tranquil, beautiful, pet friendly, and kept to a very high standard. Well worth the trip.
