The shared kitchen has only the basics, but it works for making tea or coffee and putting together a simple breakfast. The rooms were comfortable, with clean beds and a sink in each; most were spacious too. There’s no air-conditioning, just a fan, and the bathrooms and showers are shared, with separate areas for men and women. The building is quite old and could use some structural work.
Been here twice now. Cheap beer 🍺 and the staff are lovely, especially Karen.
Karen, Ken and Vicky's service really makes up for the property being old and not especially well kept. They deserve to be looked after well.
Izzy was the standout for me. She managed the front bar, drive-through bottle shop and accommodation check-ins at the same time, and handled it all effortlessly. The place has real atmosphere and a sense of history, though you shouldn’t come expecting luxury or much privacy. A proper old Australian pub experience. Vale Izzy!!!
Amanda, the manager, and Ben behind the bar were a delight. I just dropped in for a cool drink and a look at a classic old pub, and absolutely loved it. Do yourself a favour and check it out.
