The chalet had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We also loved how calm it was, with tall trees and Australian bush all around and birds everywhere. Highly recommend.

We wouldn’t return. The secluded, private location was appealing, but cleanliness fell short. The cupboard handles, dining table and bench were sticky, so we washed them before using them. There were cobwebs on the ceiling beams, and the windows weren’t clean. Good thing we brought our own soap, since none was provided.

Our favourite part was meeting the rescue animals who call the property home. The owner was wonderful and made us feel like family. The room had a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, air conditioning and heating, so we had everything we needed. The accommodation and bush scenery were beautiful. We’d love to come back soon.

We wanted a proper break from screens and distractions, and Riverway Chalets was just right. There’s no wi-fi or reception, so it’s a chance to switch off and reconnect with nature. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable, with the bathroom next door, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including a toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge and stove with oven. It felt like home. In the evenings, we rented DVDs from reception for a movie and lit the fire for a cosy atmosphere. We also visited the Animal Rescue beside reception, along with other local attractions. A peaceful spot in the forest, especially for anyone who loves animals and nature. 😀

The owners were friendly, helpful and happy to show us around the sanctuary and introduce us to the rescue animals. Outside, there are fields, fresh air, natural sounds and beautiful animals wandering about. The chalet itself felt luxurious, with comfortable beds and linen, all the kitchen utensils we needed, and a lovely bathroom and lounge. It’s a short drive to national parks, beaches and other attractions. I’d recommend Mt Chudlup and The Window to the Ocean in D'Entrancecasteaux.
