We were relocating with our pets, and the motel welcomed them without placing restrictions on them. The managers were delightful and very helpful with local knowledge. The room was clean, modern, and a decent size. It was the best room of our long road trip from Adelaide to Gladstone. I wish more outback motels were this good.

We were in unit 1 and didn't have any trouble with road noise or other guests, who were very considerate. The room was lovely and spotless, with a comfortable bed, a kitchenette, thick towels, and a good-sized shower. It's pet friendly, with small areas where you can take your dog out for a pee. The lady who runs the place is lovely, friendly, and helpful.

The staff were lovely, considerate, and went out of their way to help with our needs. We had a wonderful two-night stay, with very clean rooms and such hospitable service. The location is right in the centre of town, close to shops, clubs, and everything else.

The rooms smell really bad. My fridge stunk the room out every time I opened it, and after one night that smell had got into my food. Even the butter and water bottles had it on the plastic. I had to throw away my breakfast and lunch. Really bad!!

Competition would be great for consumers. Even with limited choices in Bourke, I think this motel is overpriced for what it offers and the standard. I'm staying in another motel tonight in a bigger country town, and the difference in standards is chalk and cheese, even though it's 20% cheaper.
