Golfview Lodge

I was pleasantly surprised by the character of the rooms after reading reviews that called them dated. Everything we needed was there, including crockery and cutlery, and the room was more than big enough. It was very clean, with a good shower and water pressure, and a cute little balcony with two wooden chairs and a table looking out over the pool and pretty gardens. Emily, the manager, was lovely, welcoming and helpful, and her little dog was adorable. All rooms have a private balcony. There’s plenty of parking and the setting is picturesque. Nothing else is within walking distance for eating, and the nearby restaurant is expensive, so you need to drive a few minutes into Bowral for cafes. That didn’t bother us. The price was very reasonable, and I’d definitely return.

Warm, comfortable and affordable, and the staff were welcoming from arrival to departure. We stayed one night in the “old” building while driving from Melbourne to Brisbane with the family. It has that classic original Australian motel style, and the beds were lovely and comfortable. The place was extremely clean and well kept. Highly recommend.

Finding affordable accommodation in Bowral for a family friend’s funeral was difficult until a Google search turned up Golfview Lodge Motel. The friendly woman on the phone was very helpful when we booked, which was a pleasant surprise. Our twin room was clean and comfortable, with a sink, microwave, tabletop cooker, toaster, jug, iron and ironing board, plus extra blankets and pillows. It also had a TV and air conditioning. The bathroom had the usual things, along with wall mounted soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower, and hand cream, soap and shaving cream by the basin. We had a really good stay and were happy with the whole experience. I’d definitely recommend the motel. Thank you.

Our executive suite was the most adorable room I’ve ever seen. It was tidy and spacious for two, with lots of little antique trinkets. The service was never intrusive, just a quick text asking if we wanted room service. At reception, Emily (I believe that was her name) was so warm when we arrived and made us feel we were in for a treat. The location and view were lovely too. We saw kangaroos and bunnies early in the morning, and golf was just a two minute walk away. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.
