We’ve already booked another stay. The river setting is heavenly, and there’s plenty of living space with a big, comfy couch. The master bedroom is a bit tight, but the six-seat dining table and bar table on the shaded verandah are handy. The kitchen is lovely and new, with a dishwasher, though a multi-size coffee pod machine like L'or would be useful. The cabin sits up about 10 steps, with rails on both sides for anyone who needs them. There’s no laundry in the cabin, but guests can use the communal one. I wish the verandah had a gate to keep dogs or children in. We had our dog on a long leash, and saw another guest use a board to stop their dog getting out.

The coffee cart onsite was brilliant, and we had a clear river view from our powered site. We stayed near the pool and camp kitchen, so everything was close. The park is lovely, right beside the River Loddon, with modern, spotless facilities. The pool is big enough for cooling off on a hot day.

The camp kitchen was great, with a large outdoor dining deck. There are lovely sites along the river, though the park was smaller than I expected. The amenities blocks are small too, and the pool was very small. Some tables and umbrellas in the grassy area would be good.

The swimming hole is great, but on a stinking hot day you have to drive there. The river is controlled by the ski club, so you’re not allowed to swim in it. We love swimming, and the pool is much too small, especially with lots of children using it. It gets cloudy with that much use. We also had a site without grass. The caravan park is lovely, but way too expensive for what you get.

We’re planning to make this an annual trip after enjoying our recent stay with family and friends. The location is spot on, the park is clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly. The pub, bakery and nursery are all within walking distance.
