Riverbank Park Motel

The location is great and the beds were comfortable. The owner was friendly too. The TV was broken, but they replaced it quickly, and when the curtains turned out to be broken and left us without privacy on the first night, they fixed that promptly as well. I appreciated the quick response. The cleanliness was atrocious, though. On the morning after our first night, I found black hair stuck to my body while drying myself with their towels. It wasn’t mine. Our room hadn’t been vacuumed when we arrived, and it wasn’t touched during our seven-night stay. The listing says they make the beds, take rubbish, vacuum and replace towels. Towels were changed on the third and seventh days, but left on the floor in front of the toilet, which felt pretty unhygienic. I passed other rooms being serviced and they looked much nicer than ours.

Our one-night stop became four nights, thanks to owner Neil, who made us feel welcome and went out of his way to help with what we needed. That’s why we were happy to stay longer, and we can see why guests return. We’ll do the same on another adventure. Thanks, Neil and Emma. The motel itself looked as cared for as the website suggested.

I love the green garden and trees, with a view towards the river. The pool is lovely, and the room was comfortable with everything we needed. You can walk to the main street, then come back to sit peacefully on the deck or in the garden with a book. There was even a lovely Christmas tree. The staff are kind without being in your face all the time. We’ve already booked our next holiday 🤗🌿

A quiet spot with cozy, very clean rooms and firm new mattresses. The BBQ area by the river is a great place to hang out, and the location is excellent. For me, this is the best place to stay in and around Bright. I’ll be back in March and stay here again. Highly recommend it.
