The Beetson Hotel

Zac and Sol were looking out for us all night. They noticed a middle-aged man lingering near my friends and me and discreetly asked if we knew him. We didn’t, so they acted straight away, got him out, and checked that we were okay. They handled it calmly and professionally, without making things awkward or adding to our worry. As women, feeling safe on a night out means so much. Their warmth, care, and attention made us feel supported, and we’re incredibly grateful. Absolutely five stars. Thank you, Zac and Sol! 🥹❤️❤️

The Beetson is close enough to the city to be handy, but tucked far enough away that you can avoid the hubbub. I had a big terrace and a view of Suncorp Stadium. Inside, the room was spacious and stylishly furnished, with a massive TV, and the bathroom was large and tidy. Staff were incredible, quick to help with my questions and whims. A wonderful stay.

The location is the one real plus: it’s on a great strip, and Suncorp Stadium is a quick 360 spin away. The rest felt like a three-star hotel at best, despite the price. We paid 2500 for three nights for a room that was basically a shoebox. Staff failed to greet us several times, and the place was dirty. The bathroom and windows were grimy, the furniture had visible stains, and there were obvious marks all over the curtains. If you charge Crown prices, you should provide Crown service. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were friendly and the room was neat, but it didn’t feel like a five-star hotel. The amenities didn’t match that rating: there were no disposable slippers or toothbrush. The carpet looked old, and there was a smell in the lobby.
