The shared lounge on floor 1 is fantastic, with lovely outdoor seating areas, and the complex is clean, neat and inviting. For people staying while a loved one is having surgery, especially heart surgery at St Vincent’s Northside, a few changes would make a stressful time easier. At check-in, guests should be told that their room key gives them discounts at St Vincent’s cafe. I only found out by chance on my last hospital visit. People arrive tired from travel and worried about someone very ill, so clear instructions and helpful advice matter. Rooms need a comfortable armchair for heart patients, rather than just the bed. Small scissors for opening coffee bags and a cutting board would help too. The fully open showers leave water across at least half the floor, which can be slippery and dangerous. Balcony rooms should have appealing tables and chairs so guests there for medical reasons can sit outside comfortably. Those changes would make patients' and carers' stays even more comfortable during a very stressful period.

Essence is so handy for TPCH, and the room was roomy, quiet and very comfortable, with lots of useful kitchen conveniences. The bed was comfy and came with a good pillow selection. Good value for the room quality, and I'd definitely recommend it.

This was our second stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the spacious rooms are comfortable and fully self-contained. Being right beside the hospital campus is ideal. We could leave the car in the secure underground car park and walk back and forth whenever it suited us. It's not the cheapest option, but worth the money when you need to be near the hospital.

You’re just a stone’s throw from the hospital entrance, and the rooms are clean, comfortable and have what you need for a long stay. My room was meant to be cleaned every week, but that never happened until I complained. Even after telling them again, our room still wasn't cleaned, with my husband coming back after open-heart surgery.
