The community is what stayed with me at Soko Waterfront Apartments. Long-term residents and people staying briefly seemed to get along easily, and there was a welcoming feeling without anyone being intrusive. It felt like a small floating neighbourhood, not just a building. The rooftop infinity pool is high above the city, with the river below and the water meeting the sky. It made me want to pause, not pose, and I never felt on display. The river views are wide and calm, and the whole place seems to turn life down a notch. Even in the hallways and shared areas, people would nod hello without crowding you. Five stars for the views, the calm and the human connection this modern development makes room for.

I was charged for an apartment advertised with water views, but from my room I could see someone’s bedroom. They then described it as a partial water view. I realised you only get a glimpse of water between the trees if you lean out over the balcony. There were no water views from where I stayed.

It feels expensive for what you get, and I think the view is what you’re paying for. At those prices, the food and service need a lot of improvement.
