The four-course dinner on Saturday and the breakfasts were a real highlight, and the cake waiting for us Friday afternoon made the drive from Sydney worthwhile. We had 12 adults and two young children there for the weekend, celebrating a 70th and a first birthday. Karen and Sean welcomed us warmly and made it a memorable stay. The amenities were exceptional. I’d give the weekend 15 out of 10, and highly recommend it.

The kitchen has everything you need, including coffee and tea. It’s a really quiet spot, just a few minutes from Mudgee, and Karen and Sean were fantastic hosts. Outstanding!

The games room downstairs, with its pool table, bar and more, is a great bonus. We booked the whole homestead with six other couples, and this was our third year in a row doing that. Karen & Shaun are superb hosts, and the place is clean and beautifully maintained. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and beautifully prepared, on a par with a first-class restaurant. Sitting on the verandahs with that outlook is so relaxing. It’s hard to beat if you want to unwind, enjoy good food and have wine by a log fire.

We spent three lovely nights here for our 34th wedding anniversary, and Karen & Sean made us feel right at home. Karen’s breakfasts were to die for, and the afternoon teas were scrumptious too. This jewel in Mudgee’s crown is somewhere we can’t wait to visit again soon. We highly recommend the homestead. Kind regards, Emmanuel & Helen

The rooms are comfortable, and the service and food are exceptional. We’ve stayed a number of times, and plenty of the other guests come back too, for the same reason. They also make great wine.
