The marked farm tracks and the climb up the mountain gave us plenty to explore, and the Byfield region is nearby too. Afterward, it was lovely to settle into a comfortable swag or bed. The outdoor shower, with rainwater and views over the natural surroundings, was a beautiful way to start or end the day. It’s such a peaceful rainforest escape from everyday life. I’ve come back several times, and I’d happily recommend it.

We came away feeling able to switch off and reconnect with what matters. Castle Rock Farm sits beside the spectacular Byfield National Park, tucked into the Byfield Ranges. It’s an eco-conscious farmstay surrounded by beautiful nature, and a really magical place for a peaceful break.

Cooper and Tish made us feel so well looked after. They’re genuinely warm, caring people. The forest sounds around this wonderfully peaceful place made the stay even better.

We spent a weekend in the main house with a group of girlfriends, and it was just magic. There was plenty of room for all of us, and it was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the kitchen, which had everything we needed, and the relaxing outdoor area surrounded by nature. A lovely spot to catch up and unwind.

The garden’s fruit trees and the gorgeous walks were a real highlight for me. Such a beautiful place, with lovely staff. I really enjoyed my stay.
