Ivan and Shona made our stay with their warm welcome and all their help. They were so friendly that we felt like part of the family, and I can’t recommend them enough. The apartments are older, but that’s part of their appeal: the rooms are huge, the walls are solid, and the balconies are spacious. It’s quiet and private, and the pool is great for a swim or a cool-off. We didn’t use the tennis court.

We booked a four bedroom, three bathroom, air conditioned unit at Byron Bay Links Apartments for our family of five, with expansive golf course views. At lunchtime the day before arrival, the complex manager called to say the unit’s owners needed it for themselves over the weekend. We were moved into two separate units with no air conditioning and views of the road into the golf course. One had no kitchen power, and the power points in two bedrooms weren’t working either. Both units were aged and grubby. Never again, Byron Links.

The friendly, helpful service is what made these apartments stand out. I booked a large group here in August 2015; they were visiting from Ireland and went to many other places after Byron, but said these apartments were the highlight of their four weeks. Their three bedroom penthouse was very clean and stocked with everything they could need or want. There was plenty of room for all six of them.

I’ve stayed here several times. The hosts are lovely, but each apartment is different and some owners can be difficult. One owner thought it was reasonable to bill me for a very expensive TV remote that I didn’t take. Some owners have their own ideas, and I won’t be coming back.

The apartments are comfortable and amazing, and the surroundings are beautiful. The kids love the activities, especially tennis, and the pool is magnificent. Ivan and Shona treat you like family. Do yourself a favour and visit Byron Links apartments!
