Cossies by the Sea

We liked Cossies by the Sea so much on a visit with my daughter that I came back with my husband two weeks later for another six nights. The apartment is clean and comfortable, just as shown in the photos, with a new bathroom and appliances. Dalene is easy to talk to and has made it feel like home, with thoughtful extras like books and DVDs. It's set at the back of the Beaches Resort, so it's quiet and away from the noisy main road. Shops and beaches are an easy walk, and the secure parking is a real help when parking in central Byron is difficult and can be expensive. Thanks, Dalene, for such a memorable stay. We hope to return on our next Byron visit.

The cupboards are very high, so the building isn't great for shorter people. There also isn't enough cupboard space for food, and a small pantry would have helped. Otherwise it was clean, modern, and comfortable, with all the household basics provided. The staff were nice to deal with.

A clean, pleasant place to unwind, with a lovely saltwater pool and a kitchen that's fully equipped for cooking at home. Town is about a five-minute walk away, and the beach takes around five minutes to reach too.

For the price, Cossies works for me as a base for seeing Byron, and I'll be back. It's an easy walk to the town shops and beach, and the manager is pleasant and available if you need anything. The facilities in the complex are usable, though the unit is being updated gradually and shows some wear. It's a separately run unit within a complex. There's no aircon in the bedroom, and the internet drops out and needs updating.
