The house did the job, giving us shelter and some comfort, and the location is great if the issues don’t bother you. The newer house with a deck and BBQ is at the back of the property. The actual house is old and tired, with an outdated shower and the second loo outside. There was nowhere to hang bath towels, the second bedroom door wouldn’t latch, and the dishwasher wasn’t great, so be ready to wash dishes by hand. It does have a new oven, which was replaced while we were there.

The only real plus was being close to town. The property advertised two bathrooms, but we got one bathroom and one outside toilet. One doona was stained and the other had mould. There were no hooks in the bathroom, so clothes had to go on the floor while showering. I wouldn’t recommend this property. Beware of false claims.

The beds are comfortable, and the cooking setup is really good. It is an expensive place, though. The rules feel pretty strict, almost like being treated as a kid, but I suppose noisy guests may have been an issue here before.

The location was handy, just a short walk from Byron Bay, and there was one bathroom plus an outdoor toilet. But when we arrived in the afternoon, the place hadn't been cleaned: the floors and furniture were dirty, and the previous guests' sheets were still on the beds. Someone came straight away to clean and replace them.

Really good atmosphere, and the pizza was delicious!
