Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore

Our three-bedroom apartment had the amenities we needed, including a full kitchen and laundry, and it was a decent size. The location was convenient too, within walking distance of the Palm Cove strip. There are three pools: a regular one, a small heated rock pool, and one for adults only. We had to climb three flights of stairs to get to the apartment, which wasn’t much fun while carrying a baby. It wasn’t especially luxurious, but it worked well for us.

What really made our wedding night at the Alamanda memorable was the reception team, especially Gaby. She and her colleagues went out of their way to help make the occasion special, and the staff exceeded what we expected. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with complimentary champagne, chocolates, and lovely toiletries. The pools and gardens were beautiful as well. And the setting is hard to beat, right on the beach with the blue sea framed by Palm trees. We’d highly recommend staying here.

The location and views are the strongest parts of the experience. You’re right on the beach, with Palm Cove restaurants, cafes, and bars an easy walk away, and the views are hard to fault. The beds were comfortable too. We paid over $500 per night for a three-bedroom apartment at Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore, so the condition was disappointing. It felt dated and banged up in places, and the photos online looked better than the apartment we found. The cool white lights in most rooms gave it a hospital feel rather than a luxury beachfront one. Our ensuite door wouldn’t latch properly and kept jamming. There’s no lift, so we carried all our luggage up three flights of stairs. There was no daily housekeeping either, which felt poor at this nightly rate. The location did more for our stay than the resort itself.

We spent evenings on the balcony overlooking the pool, playing cards, and the beach was only a short walk away. I loved the tropical feel of the area, with its beautiful palm trees, and all three pools. The rooms were perfect for us. Thanks to the cleaner and everyone on staff for making our stay so pleasant. We had a fabulous time.
