Coral Sands Resort

Trinity Beach is small and calm, with a good choice of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby, and a direct public bus into downtown. We had no ocean view, but spotted wallabies in the backyard. There's no daily service and very little staff, so don't expect much help. It felt like they might have only one maintenance person for the whole resort. The electric cooker never boiled, though the Nespresso worked every day. We didn't try the rice cooker.

Right by the beachfront, the resort has an amazing pool and spacious, clean rooms. It's a fantastic place to stay in the heart of Trinity Beach. My family has been here at least five times and we'll come back again.

We had three units for five nights. There wasn't room service because of the length of our stay, though they did provide extra toiletries. The basics differed between units, so people had different experiences. One room had no modem for WiFi; we asked after three days and it was supplied the same day. A few other bits and pieces needed attention too. I'd have given the rooms five stars if everyone had had a pleasant experience.

Apartment 51 was meant to be superior, but it was filthy and dusty enough to make two members of my family sick. The fixtures were broken in many places, maintenance was poor and the whole place felt rundown. The furniture looked like it had been rescued from the local transfer station or hard rubbish. My family and I had a terrible stay. There may be nicer apartments in the complex, but if #51 is supposed to be superior, I'd hate to see the standard rooms.
