The Reef House Adults Retreat

The pools have such a tranquil feel, and the poolside butler service makes it even better. There are so many great inclusions, and the restaurant food is on another level. Every staff member made our stay feel special. From pillow menus and sleeping guides to herbal teas, comfortable beds and generous balconies, the rooms are full of lovely touches. Right from being greeted by the concierge when we arrived, we felt very welcome. The Reef House manifesto is second to none. This is the most wonderful accommodation and stay I've ever had. If you're planning a holiday, don't pass up The Reef House. We'll be back regularly.

We had breakfast every morning, and the eggs benedict and full breakfast were my favourites. Dinner was very good too, with great steak and duck. The rooms were tidy and clean, and renovations were happening while we were there with minimal inconvenience to guests. Both main pools had food and drink service. We were warmly welcomed at the front by Cedric and Karoline, and all the staff were amazing. Bruno hosted the wine tasting and cocktail courses and did a great job. The service was as good as you could hope for, second to none. I'd rate the place 10 out of 10.

The staff were lovely and attentive everywhere, from reception and the bar to the pool, housekeeping and restaurant. My room was refreshed and restocked each day. The food was delicious and plentiful, with so many inclusions that you'll never go hungry or thirsty. There's no need to leave the resort if you don't want to. Parking is provided, and bicycles are free for adventurers. I loved the original stone floors, the arched pools and the mid-century resort bungalows. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with everything needed for a lovely stay, and breakfast came with the best views every morning. The Reef House in palm cove is a remarkable property, full of old-world character as well as modern amenities, and a handy base between cairns city and port douglas. Thanks to the staff and management for keeping this unique place in such good shape and making our stay the best ever. Can't wait to return 🥰

After a few busy days exploring the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef from Port Douglas, we spent two nights here and eased into a much slower pace. The spa was genuinely restorative, the food was outstanding, and the staff were warm and attentive. The included amenities are thoughtfully chosen and well worth enjoying, especially the cocktail mixing experience, which was a highlight. Every detail exceeded our expectations. If you're considering it, book it. You won't regret it, and I'm hoping to come back.
