We drove three hours for a weekend booking from Saturday to Monday, only to find nobody at reception when we arrived. We'd received confirmation saying check-in began at 2pm Saturday and checkout was 10am Monday. Only when rereading the email did we find a small subsection, eight paragraphs below the check-in time, saying weekend guests had to call 48 hours ahead to arrange check-in. I can understand pre-check-in, and I can understand not having weekend staff. What I can't understand is getting no alert or simple request to call ahead when I booked on the Thursday just before the weekend. Apparently booking wasn't enough, and we were expected to call immediately after. What's the point? They also denied our request for even a partial refund, offering no reschedule or credit. If you want a beautiful place where you can waste hundreds of dollars without getting access, can't reach a compromise with staff and lose your whole weekend, this is the place. I'd rate it lower if I could.

We stayed in an impressive apartment on the 8th floor, with outstanding views of the water and mountains. I believe ours had been refurbished. Monaco's communication by text and email was excellent, including letting us know the apartment was ready well before the usual check-in time. Bonnie at reception was great, answered our questions and made us feel welcome. Monaco Caloundra is close to cafes, shops, restaurants and, especially, the water. We really enjoyed our stay, and it would suit couples and families.

The location is amazing, with the beach, parks and shops all within walking distance. Our room was immaculate, clean, tidy and well maintained. The staff were lovely and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. I'll stay here again without hesitation!

The view is absolutely amazing, and the rooms and complex are always spotless. I always love staying at Monaco. The staff try to meet requests when they can, like asking for a high floor. Looking forward to my next stay!

I've stayed here a few times and loved it, but this time wasn't so good. The room was very average, with marks on the walls and dirty fans. On the last day, I woke up to no hot water.
