Carol was really friendly and accommodating, and we’re already talking about coming back. We had Cabin 2 with the kids, and being able to park right by the door made getting everything in and out easy. It was very clean and had everything we needed, from tea, coffee and biscuits to kitchen utensils. The fireplace was ready when we arrived, with lots of firewood stored under cover. It feels tucked away, even though Town is only 15 minutes away.

Coming back to the cabin after visiting the many nearby places and lighting the fire was absolute bliss. The setting is beautiful, and the cabins are roomy with lots of thoughtful extras from the owners. I was unsure about the composting toilet at first, but got used to it quickly, and there was no smell.

We had a lovely week in Cabin #1. The elevated spot gives you nice views across the forest, though there are quite a few steps up from the parking area. For level access, Cabin #2 would be the better choice. The cabin was clean and well kept, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. It gets full morning sun, which helps warm it after a cold night, and there’s a wood-burning stove with plenty of firewood, plus reverse-cycle air conditioning/heating and an electric oil-column heater. I hadn’t used a "Rota-Loo" before and was pleasantly surprised by how practical it was, much better than a traditional "dunny"!

We had a lovely stay. It was peaceful and felt secluded, while still being close enough to Orange. The owners were friendly, and the cabins were clean and well maintained.

Our soccer team spent the weekend here, and the location worked perfectly for the whole group. The rooms were a good size for families, and the indoor fire kept us warm. The owners were lovely and let us have a big bonfire. You feel the serenity as soon as you arrive. Highly recommend.
