This is stunning accommodation in a spectacular setting, with complete privacy in the rainforest. We visited in July and left the whole home open to the elements, with no aircon or screens. Being in the tropics, when we got too warm we could just jump into the pool on the main deck, clothing optional. The property is off-grid but still has great amenities.

We had such a peaceful, relaxing week at Villa Zena, surrounded by an incredible garden, and we're already eager to return. The Villa is amazing and had all the amenities, just as shown in the photos. Lucie was so friendly and helpful from the time we booked right through the trip. Thank you, and see you next year!

Cape Tribulation feels like another country within Australia, and I think every Australian should experience this part of FNQ. The Foels have made a paradise here, with world-class gardens that add so much to the natural experience. It's a fantastic, relaxing place. The birds are all the music you need. I can't wait to get back.

I've been well traveled, and Villa Zena is a very special retreat. This was my second visit, and I'll keep coming back for the rest of my days. The Foel family deserves credit for honouring the heritage of the place and making something wonderful. Whether you're heading to the area as a couple, a group, or a family, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to stay.
