I can't recommend this place. The owners should update the photos to show what it's like now. Some cabins looked new, but the facilities were run down, and the whole park needs renovations. I was travelling alone with a rooftop tent and paid $47 for a powered site with water, neither of which I needed. The staff were very friendly on the phone when I booked a site for my car and tent for the night, but I disliked the place and didn't feel comfortable. I'd looked forward to using one of the BBQs in the photos, but all were out of service. There was a little Weber instead, but it wouldn't self-ignite, so I couldn't cook without a lighter. The kitchen didn't feel welcoming, and spiderwebs were in the way of the sink. The restrooms were full of insects, with ants around the sinks, so I couldn't leave my things there for even a minute. The showers were very old. At first, it seemed like water wasn't coming through the pipes. It took a long time to get hot water, then cold water wouldn't come out. I shared a shower with a cute frog that did a better job keeping insects out of the amenities than the staff. I got bitten all over by mozzies while trying to dry off and get dressed. There were mozzies everywhere, and they didn't care that I had insect repellent on. I'd spent the night before at the mountain and had far less trouble with mosquitoes there.

We booked the budget room on Boxing Day night because Booking.com said it was the last room, and we couldn't find accommodation elsewhere after driving all day. It really was budget: no pillows or towels, no fly screen on the window, and we paid $90 to use our own. The floor hadn't been mopped. After showering, our feet were black from walking on it. The sheets were filthy, and we could feel crumbs and bugs in the bed. Staff accommodation played loud music all night. I don't recommend this caravan park. In the morning I went to reception for a partial refund. Someone was meant to be there by 7, but no one showed up or answered the phone. They eventually called back 10 minutes later, said they could have sorted it out by moving us to another room, and said we should have called the night before. They also said they'd check the room right away. I waited until 10 because they said the cleaner would look at it, then called again and was told there were no cleaners until Monday. I called on Monday and got no response, then called again Tuesday. They said they'd sort it out and blamed us for staying. It's now Thursday, and there's still no partial refund or response. I wanted to speak to reception to resolve it, but it seems like no one runs the park at all.

The room was tidy and clean, but there were clear signs of the previous guest: the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and used towels were hanging on the door. It left me wondering, had the sheets been changed?

The park was dirty, and the camp kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Puddles up to my ankles made it hard to get to the car and bathroom. I had to ask twice to get the areas cleaned.

The flimsy window in the backpacker room couldn't be closed or locked, the worst I've seen. I paid $90 for a shared bathroom room, which was a total ripoff. I demanded a refund and got it. Avoid these rooms.
