We spent so much of our time going between the resort-style pool and the jacuzzi, or sitting in the underground pavilion looking out over the gardens. The whole property is tucked into rainforest, with secluded, beautiful grounds, comfortable cabins, and plenty to explore. Cassowaries and other wildlife wander around safely. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a holiday, and town is only a ten-minute drive away, with essentials close by and activities nearby if you want them. I’ve travelled all over the world and spent plenty of time in far north Queensland, but this is one of the most special places I’ve stayed, and easily the best I’ve found up here. It’s also amazing value for a private resort all to yourself. Tim, the owner, made it even better. He was so kind, welcoming, caring, and helpful, and really went above and beyond. I’ll recommend it to everyone I know, and I’ll keep coming back.

The way the place is designed and built is something we really appreciate, especially its private spot among rainforest plants where Cassowaries often visit. We came as a couple in July 2025 for our second stay. It works really well for one to three couples, with three separate bedrooms reached by boardwalks, and a comfortable, well-equipped shared kitchen and lounge overlooking the pool and spa.

Waking up to birdsong in your own little rainforest hideaway was lovely. The place was spotless and nicely presented, with a private pool and spa. A stunning spot, highly recommend it.

We came here for our honeymoon and anniversary and left with a really memorable escape. The tropical scenery all around us made everything feel calm and peaceful, and it gave us the relaxing break we needed. Such a one of a kind resort.

We'd planned to explore Tully, but the weather kept us inside all weekend. Once we saw the tropical rainforest and everything we had to ourselves, staying in felt like a relief. There were fresh-picked flowers around the property, and even a cassowary came to visit us on the bridge. What an unforgettable anniversary weekend. Thanks, Tim, we’ll be back.
