We went in early March and found the rooms clean, with great walks and hikes close by. Each room has a kettle and two cups, while the shared fridge and microwave are on the second floor. They’re in a 'quiet room' with a TV, but there’s no sink for washing dishes and no kitchen area. The restaurant downstairs is quite nice. He only had chips, but it looked like they offer a wide choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have hiking packages, I think with water, fruit and a sandwich. You can hear your neighbours talking, though, so bring earplugs.

The room was basic, but clean and comfortable, which was perfectly fine. There’s no TV or fridge in the room, though there is a communal place to keep food. The location is great for nearby hikes, and the staff were super friendly. I’d definitely stay again.

The burrito bowl tasted alright, but the rice and chicken were lukewarm. The chicken schnitzel was thin, overcooked and completely dried out. After that wait, the cost and the lacklustre service, lunch wasn’t worth it. We went in summer, when it wasn’t busy, but the staff completely forgot our order and seemed rather affronted when we politely asked about it. Once it was ready, they left it on the counter without telling us. I wouldn’t recommend dropping in for lunch over the summer season.

I only tried the cafe. The green bowls were nicely seasoned and a good size, perfect before a hike. The chicken schnitzel was a bit dry.

The location is great, close to Mt Kisciusko Charlotte Pass. My room was clean and tidy, and the staff were helpful. It’s handy that the hotel serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
