Clare Valley Motel

I’ve stayed here many times, and it’s been great every time. It’s close to shops and restaurants, the prices are reasonable, and the family who run it keep the rooms very clean and nicely presented. Jay and his team are professional, with several more rooms being renovated. There are lots of room options for different needs, including some with a spa or an extra sink, and guests can use the pool. Works for a quick trip or regular stays in Clare. Thanks, Jay and team.

The kids had plenty to do with the alpacas, playground and pool, which gave us time to enjoy the Spa. The view was lovely to wake up to, and our room had a microwave and toaster for easy meals. It was a relaxed, stress-free stay, and the self-check-in made arriving simple. A great spot for views and a bit of time to yourself while the children play.

We were in a panic after accidentally booking the wrong dates at another hotel for our group of 35, but they managed to fit us all in and provided extra beds at no charge. The resort and its facilities were really nice. They’ve renovated and are still working on more of it. Such a lifesaver, and we’ll definitely return! 😍

We decided to stay longer in town, but moved to cheaper accommodation that had already been renovated. The room we stayed in was due for renovation, and it felt like it had been neglected. The cupboard had an incomplete dish set, just one bowl and no dinner plates, and the dishes weren’t very clean. There were cobwebs, the bathroom shelf looked like it hadn’t been dusted since it was installed, and the toilet ran constantly with a container underneath. The WiFi was terrible too. None of those things is huge alone, but they added up. When we mentioned possibly extending our stay, they tried to upsell us to a renovated room at a higher price. A group also took over the pool and BBQ area, which may not have been the owners’ fault, but added to the disappointment. It wasn’t an awful place to stay, just a disappointing one.
