The private outdoor area with a bbq was lovely, and the cottage had everything we needed for a two night stay. We stayed in the Daisy cottage, a lovely self contained place right on the Riesling trail, with bike hire across the road.

Fran’s service made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was five star, with everything we needed and more. It’s centrally located, and easy to find.

We enjoyed a relaxing walk around town on the Riesling trail, which is right next to these cottages. The owners are lovely and provided essentials in the cottages. We had an excellent stay and would recommend them to everyone.

The breakfast provisions were very good, and we had a very enjoyable five nights at Lilac Cottage. The host was prompt and helpful in communicating, especially since we arrived late, at 11.30 pm. We booked through the Cottages website. The cottage is a good size for two, clean, and furnished and equipped well enough for independent travellers. The queen-size bed was comfortable, the shower worked well, and the aircon and wifi were good. The shower curtain did let water onto the bathroom floor. There’s nice outdoor furniture and a BBQ, though we didn’t use the BBQ. The location is convenient for getting around the Clare Valley.

The bathroom was big, new and clean, and the kitchen had bread, spreads, milk, juice, eggs, coffee and teas. I was absolutely blown away by those thoughtful extras. Walking into the cottage felt like stepping into another world, with peaceful music playing, birds chirping outside, and lots of light and fresh air. It was clean, smelled nice, and I loved the place. Thank you :-)
