The reception and cleaning staff were lovely, but the manager was rude and communicated terribly. The place was awful and far too expensive for what you get, even before the other issues I had. The highlight was seeing a fully clothed homeless man exfoliating his feet in the pool. There is no security, and it felt unsafe. I'll be reporting it to the relevant authority.

I booked two rooms for nearly $500, and the stay was disgusting. There were dirty towels behind the bathroom door, footprints in the shower and hair on the basin. The air conditioning didn't work in one room, the pool was green, and when my daughter lifted her pillow she found bugs. The hallway smelled strongly of vomit. After finishing my engagement at 11:30, we returned to the motel but the smell was so bad that we drove home instead, getting back at 1 a.m. It was a three-hour drive. When I called to complain, they spoke to me like it didn't matter. I work hard for my money. Don't stay here.

The pool looked good, and there are some good dining options within walking distance, but I can't recommend this place. The rooms are large, though grubby. The bathroom door was broken, the wash bottles were missing while their holder was still there, and the replacement fixtures didn't match the old bathroom fittings. We had to carry our heavy bags down the stairs because the elevator can't be used outside office hours. A rude woman from the property called and accused us of having a cat in the room. When we told her it wasn't us, she didn't apologize. Rubbish was left in the hallways and walkways for days. This place is a dump.

The location is hard to beat. Shops, doctors and places to eat are across the road, everything is within walking distance, and you can stroll along the Raby Bay waterfront or dine at the seaside restaurants. Some rooms have disabled showers, and there's a toaster, kettle, tea, coffee and a small bar fridge. The rooms are old but clean, and the staff are friendly, though service and people skills are lacking. It's overpriced for what it is. I would never stay or recommend it again. The manager enters rooms, goes through belongings and opens things without permission, which felt like a total breach of privacy. There was a lot of yelling and swearing from homeless people. Reception lets some people smoke pot and bends the rules for others depending on what suits her. She also talks about guests to other guests, which I know firsthand. It gives a false sense of security.
