Inside, this motel is so clean and tidy that I can't understand the 3-star rating. The room felt more like a five-star one, and I took photos to show how good it was. The outside looks old but has character, and there are bridge works out front, but they shouldn't put you off staying here. I've stayed in many hotels and this is one of the tidiest motels I've been to. The staff are polite, the owner was very helpful, and I was even given the late checkout I needed for tomorrow. A really nice place to stay the night.

The family room worked really well for us, with a separate room for the parents. It had a proper fridge and a washing machine in the kitchen, and the standard double room had those appliances too. The room was clean, traditional and nice. The only drawback was having to drive to the Strand. Apart from that, I'd recommend the hotel and we'd probably stay again.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was large and well equipped, though quite worn and in need of a revamp. We also had to wait about 10 minutes on two occasions for someone to come to the unattended reception desk. Mid evening, a noisy dispute broke out outside our unit block, with people swearing and causing a disturbance until multiple police arrived.

We only stayed one night while travelling, and the room was just right for our family of four. It was clean and the staff were lovely. Parking was easy, off the street within the accommodation grounds. My kids didn't go swimming, but other families were using the pool.
