Ocean Spray Apartments

Booked a 3 bed family apartment for 3 nights starting New Years Day, four months ahead, and paid a deposit by credit card. I had an email confirmation number. When we arrived on New Years Day with 3 kids in the backseat, reception was closed. I called the after-hours number and was told there were no check-ins that day, no booking had been made, and none of their accommodation sleeps 5. When I gave the woman the confirmation number and apartment details, she said they’d cancelled the booking on the day I made it and that their system had emailed me. Then she hung up. She wouldn’t answer when I called back. About 10 minutes later her husband showed up, complaining it was his only day off. He said, “there’s nothing I can do for you” and handed me a map, telling me to see what the visitor centre could do. He wouldn’t even look at the confirmation email or offer to call nearby accommodation. When I asked him to call, he said, “can't help you mate, see the visitor centre.” He apparently wouldn’t defend or discuss his wife’s earlier conduct on the phone. I’ve booked accommodation all over Australia and the World, and this was my WORST experience. Please never consider this place. I hope no one books and these guys go out of business!

We really appreciated the thoughtful personal touches and the great location at unit one Ocean Spray Coffs Harbour. It was presented beautifully, and we had a lovely seven-night stay. I’d happily recommend it.

There’s plenty of room to move around, and the place is nicely furnished and well equipped. It’s also close to the bowling club.

The beach and cafe were highlights of a wonderful family holiday. We’ll definitely stay again next year.
