Pacific Towers Beach Resort

We’ll return to the resort, but we’ll refuse room 604 every time. This review is only about that room and doesn’t reflect on the resort or staff. The staff were lovely, the resort itself is lovely and well located, and the pool was huge, clean, and lovely. The kitchen was fair and clean, and the floors and carpets outside the bathrooms were nice. The cleaners should pay closer attention to detail, though. Fans throughout were caked in dust, which I put down to cleaning rather than the owner. We gave the room zero stars, the resort four, and staff four. Room 604 needs a major upgrade. We were told the owner refuses to do anything and even made a fuss about replacing the lounge suite. The vertical blinds were broken, missing slats, and moldy, and the large kitchen window had no blinds at all, so there was no privacy there. The bathrooms felt like outdated communal blocks from a caravan park, maybe from the 1970s. The beds were like ones left on the council strip for pickup, and the floor was more comfortable. The ceiling was peeling throughout, and the walls badly needed paint. I have no idea why the kitchen has eight lights when one would do. The owner should move their belongings elsewhere, since the room is for holidaymakers. The balcony railing had cobwebs and the tiles looked like they were from the 70s. Those last things are minor, but the whole apartment needs an upgrade. Apparently the owner has three or four other rooms, including garden-view rooms, so I suggest refusing anything from this owner.
