Lunch at the Union was a real treat. The pork belly bites were AMAZING, and all the meals were delightful. The staff were pleasant, and the dining area felt relaxed, with lots of natural light and plenty of room to move between tables. We’ll recommend it and come back.

The staff were absolutely lovely, and prices were reasonable. Some meals come in half serves, and the chippies were excellent. My chicken parmigiana and my husband’s chicken schnitzel were among the best we’ve had. Highly recommend this place.

I hadn’t eaten at this pub for about two years, and it seems to have had new owners or a complete change. My mum says there’s been a new chef for six months. I can say it looks and smells much better inside, the staff were lovely, and the food has improved a lot without a price hike, which is impressive. It’s now the best pub meal in Colac for me. A few more menu choices would make it even better.

My guest and I had a great lunch at the Union Hotel, with well-priced meals and polite, friendly, helpful staff. There’s a play area for children, plenty of on-street parking, and local shops are nearby. A park with a playground and fountain is not far from the hotel, and Colac train station is within walking distance.

Our dog was welcome in the courtyard, where we had a lovely evening in the warmth. The staff were friendly, and the food was delicious without any fuss. Great country hospitality. We’ll be back next time we visit Colac.
