Coonawarra Bush Holiday Park

The manager’s response when we raised problems was basically that every tent was booked, so we could stay or leave. With young kids, where were we meant to go in the middle of the night? There was no help or solution, just a shockingly rude, take-it-or-leave-it attitude. We’d been hoping for a relaxing weekend, but this glamping stay fell well short. The tent looked nice in the photos and was poorly maintained in person. We were put in what seemed like the worst tent, the bed was uncomfortable, and the linens didn’t feel fresh. Save your money and choose a regular hotel, or proper camping if you’re happy to rough it. This was the worst of both worlds.

Really enjoyed staying at this park with my family. The service was much appreciated, and the bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed.

The camp kitchens were so well stocked that we didn’t use our own kitchen at all during our two nights on an unpowered site. It’s a beautiful place, and the sandy walking track is well worth doing. There are so many wineries very close by. We’d definitely return for a longer stay.

The grounds and location are lovely, and there are nice walks around the area. A few fly screens had holes, but the staff went well above and made our winery trip easy. We’d booked a return taxi, and when one stop turned out to be too far to walk, the owner drove us between places, turning it into a three-way taxi. So friendly and fun.
