We especially liked the coffee. It had the same unpretentious, comforting feel as the property. Breakfast was simple, with good ingredients and a nice choice of breads and spreads. Room #8 was spotless and comfortable, with a great bathroom, a super comfy bed, and a huge TV for winding down. The green towels gave it a cheerful, cosy feel. Outside, goats wandered through a peaceful setting with lovely views and crisp air. Check-in was available around the clock, and the remote receptionist was very kind. We’re leaving Sunday, but we’ll definitely come back.

The continental breakfast was a relaxing start to the morning, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, always happy to help. We also felt at ease with our car parked somewhere safe. Booking at the last minute was easy. I’m a bit of a clean freak and usually don’t enjoy staying in accommodation, so I was genuinely impressed by how spotless the room was. Even the bedding, including the quilt cover, was freshly made. We had a really good stay and would definitely recommend it.

The gardens and views were lovely, and our room was clean and just right. My partner and I came across this cosy, almost magical place by chance while carrying on with our road trip. We were also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary breakfast. If we’d known how charming this small motel was, we would’ve stayed for at least a couple of days. Highly recommended!

The nearby waterfall was a real highlight, just a short walk away. The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and knew the local area well, with great tips on things to see and do. Sinclairs Country Retreat is peaceful and quiet, surrounded by nature, with spacious, comfortable rooms that are beautifully kept. It’s excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

The lake and surrounding nature made for a beautiful weekend at Sinclair country. The staff were warm and welcoming, and pointed us toward nearby spots. It was a comfortable, happy getaway, recommended!
