Our caravan had a small problem, and Mr. Dinesh was so kind and helpful while we were there. He greeted us with a big smile and made sure it was sorted quickly. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, and we had a wonderful stay at Cooktown holiday park. Staff like him make a real difference. Highly recommend. 😊

It was easy to settle in from the moment we arrived, thanks to the friendly, helpful staff and smooth check-in. The peaceful setting and natural surroundings made it a lovely place to unwind away from the busy city. The spacious sites and clean facilities were well looked after, and our stay at Cooktown Holiday Park was comfortable and stress-free. We'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I chose this place on a friend's recommendation, based on their stay in 2018. When I arrived, it already looked tired and neglected. It was sold in late 2024 and has new owners, and in my view they haven't maintained the standard the previous owners kept. My cabin smelled of a sickly cleaning product or air freshener. Even with the windows open much of the time, the smell was still there when I left three days later. The floor was sticky throughout. Water splashed out of the shower, so I used the bath mat to mop it up and found the mat was dirty. A tradesman visiting the park also remarked that the grass was very long and hadn't been mown for a long time. He said it had always looked tidy under the previous owners. The office was meant to open at 8am but didn't open until nearly 9am. There was confusion over my booking, and when someone asked for tea towels, the person seemed not to speak English well and perhaps had little experience running a park like this. If I come to Cooktown again, I won't stay here.

The place was clean and comfortable, and I felt safe there. Staff were kind, and the peaceful setting had all the essentials. Their friendly welcome made everything feel easy and stress-free. I had a really good stay at Cooktown Holiday Park and would gladly return.

The pool was a nice spot for the kids, and our family room was clean. But it was very dated, basic accommodation with bessa block walls. There wasn't any tea or coffee in the room. The reception fella said he'd bring some and never did. For what it was, pretty poor value for money.
