We had a nice stay with our two-year-old, and the beach was close enough to walk to with the little one. The holiday apartment felt cosy, though it does get cold in the cooler months.

Anne, the manager, was so friendly and helpful that she really made the stay worthwhile. The cottages seem to be renovated mini motels from the 1950s, judging by the construction. Our room was clean and roomy, with a full kitchen and a new shower. It’s in a great, quiet spot close to the bus, shops and beach.

Loved the private courtyard for a morning cuppa and toast. The cottage was spotless, nicely decorated and spacious, with air con, heating and everything we needed. The beach is close, and the shops are just a short drive away. I’ll book again next time I head down.

The kitchen had enough gear to cook meals, including a working induction cooktop and microwave, which we appreciated. The place was clean and comfortable. We couldn’t get internet or WiFi because coverage didn’t reach our cottage or apartment, but that didn’t bother us. When we asked about the issue, they got back to us promptly and were open about it. A good stay overall.

This isn’t the Ritz, but for a well-priced stay on Phillip Island, you could do a lot worse. Everything you need for a short or longer visit is provided. It’s very clean, comfortable, quiet and conveniently located, and management goes out of their way to handle special requests. I’d recommend it highly.
