The undercover outdoor area was one of the best places I’ve ever read a book, and the bed and bedding were so comfortable and luxurious. The house is beautifully presented and has everything you could need. My 12 year old son and I loved exploring the back garden, especially the waterfall and swimming holes. We absolutely loved our two nights at Daintree cascades. It’s a magical place, highly recommended.

The house is even nicer in person than the outdated photos suggest. The deck has lovely patio furniture, there’s a gas grill we used often, and walkways have been built along the river to make getting to the swimming holes easier. The wood beams have been painted black and look really sharp. Everything was clean, the cleanest vacation home I’ve stayed in. The owners have also put thought into the small things: quality plates, glassware, pots, pans, and cutlery. The knives even cut through pepper skin smoothly. We’ve stayed in other homes with cheap kitchen gear, which makes cooking a meal difficult. It’s an amazing home, just as others have said.

I loved staying here 15 years ago, and coming back in 2025 was just as good. The home is beautifully looked after and sits in harmony with an incredibly beautiful environment. This is the only place I’d stay in Tropical North Queensland. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ali and James were welcoming, helpful, and knew so much about Daintree. We loved starting each day with a cool swim in the ancient waters and falling asleep to the sound of a waterfall instead of city sirens. The digital detox was refreshing. What a magical part of the world. Thanks for hosting us, Kerr's. We’ll be back.

The cottage was well cared for and had fly screens, so keeping the door shut helped keep unwanted visitors like mosquitos out even though you’re right among nature. The two buildings on the property are fully separate, so you can have privacy from the other guests. There’s your own private river and creek, and you’re surrounded by rainforest, but still not far from the Daintree’s “main road.” Falling asleep to rainforest sounds and waking to sunrise over the trees was a unique experience we’ll always cherish.
