There are lots of restaurants and pubs close by, and the city centre is within easy reach, though nights can be noisy. The rooms are in a separate building from reception, but a sign points the way, so it's manageable. Cleaning only happens on some days, and the air filter could do with maintenance. It was the cheapest place I found in the city, more like a serviced apartment, so you get what you pay for.

It's a convenient location, but the rooms were incredibly small and not very comfortable for a couple. We also struggled to work out how to enter the hotel, and there were no staff on site. One night the fire alarm went off, but nobody was there to direct people or help muster them. Eventually someone from the hotel next door arrived with the fire brigade. After it was safe to go back inside, he held the door open but didn't reassure anyone or thank them for evacuating. It left me feeling that hotel management didn't seem to care about guest safety.

The location was great, but I was so disappointed by the unclean bathroom and constant noise that made sleep almost impossible. Housekeeping were rude, so I checked out early, three days before my fully paid week was over. The manager didn't seem fazed by my concerns. The hotel needs reception in the building and to be run like the main hotel on smith Street. I also had to call to get them to release my deposit because they'd forgotten.

Right in the city centre, with great service and consistently clean rooms. I felt secure and safe while still being in the heart of the city.
