Lakeside Suites

We were in downstairs apartment 2. It looked lovely at first, but once we turned the lights on we found four that didn't work. One kept flickering on and off. We complained, and the caretaker came by the next morning without a ladder and tried unsuccessfully to fix two. He said the other two needed an electrician, which he already knew. There wasn't an exterior security sensor light, either. The bed was surprisingly small, and I was disappointed that the bathroom didn't connect to the bedroom. We were there for a wedding and hoped to sleep well, but the heating system's compressor was in a cavity under the stairs, just outside our bedroom, and vented into the hallway. Someone in another apartment left their heating on overnight, and the compressor noise kept us awake most of the night. Closing our bedroom door didn't help much because it rattled constantly. The caretaker didn't offer to quiet the cavity or seal the door so we could at least sleep with it shut. After two sleepless nights, we were a little slow getting out. Checkout was at noon, and at 12:15 we got a call asking for the keys. I've never been chased for being that little bit late before. When I raised the problems with staff, they said they hadn't heard of any of them before. I got blank looks and no apology, then walked out. Do not stay in this apartment!

Such a peaceful, beautiful place to visit. It really feels like home, and the view is magical. Highly recommended.

The place was really clean, with a comfy bed, lots of space, and great views.

I stayed in Suite 1 and loved both how comfortable it was and the view!
