Adina Serviced Apartments Canberra Dickson

Adina is tucked into a nice, quiet spot just off the main road to Canberra. We stayed four nights and enjoyed our time away. The rooms were clean, parking was secure with plenty of spaces, and our Uber into the city cost $14. I’d recommend it.

The bathroom fan didn’t pull air, the washing machine only tumbled clothes instead of spinning them, and the dryer worked but sounded like a stump grinder. Everything else felt filthy or broken. There was obvious mould and rings left by previous guests in the bathroom, grime in the sink and on the basin, and half the dishes were dirty. The shower leaked everywhere, and the so-called "spa" was vile. The TV had about 40% of its backlight dead and was locked into a "movielink" system. The kettle and sink plug did work. I won’t be advising management, because nobody here seems to care. And I wonder if they’ll put [Guest Name] on the PR company’s form response 🤣.

There’s dust built up in hard-to-reach spots that the vacuum missed, and scuffs all over the walls. The worst of it was in the wet areas: black mould and grime along much of the shower and sink edges, silicone seals, and screens. A couple of months ago I read reviews and responses saying this would be fixed, but it still hasn’t been. The front desk doesn’t ask how your stay went or whether there were problems, which makes it seem like they don’t care. Cleaning is part of the service, and this fell well below standard. I won’t stay here again.

The housekeeping was grossly inadequate, and the management was disappointing. Dust was thick behind the bedside tables, even though they pulled out easily, and there was grime on the hand wash dispenser and fridge seal. The skirting boards, toilet brush top, fridge top and sides were dusty too. Around the dining table, the floor and skirting had dust, a piece of broken glass, and dried splashes on the wall. I also found mould on the shower head, toilet cistern lid, fixtures and grout. Our queen bed had a king single duvet, and a blanket was being used instead of a mattress protector. Reception said housekeeping had probably run out of protectors and that this was normal. They dealt with some issues after I showed them photos, but left other areas untouched, including under the table, the dispenser and fridge seal. Very disappointing. We won’t be back.
