Quality Hotel Dickson

The hotel was impressive, and the staff were professional and helpful. I stayed for a few nights and had a great experience overall. One detail left me unsure, though: there was a towel hanging in the bathroom, and I couldn’t tell whether it was fresh.

We were really happy with our stay. The room had plenty of space and was very comfortable, with a little table and chairs and even a Nespresso coffee pod machine. The price was very reasonable, and we loved having the bike path right behind the property.

The gaming venue is great, and that’s probably why I’ll book again. The room was comfortable enough for a 3 star hotel, but the staff weren’t friendly when I asked several questions. The price feels closer to what I’d expect from a 4 star hotel.

There’s plenty of onsite parking and the location is handy, close to the city centre with lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. My room was clean, neat, reasonably spacious and free of bad smells. The beds were comfortable, though the way the sheets are folded around the doona means they come undone easily. The bathroom was fine, but the soap was so thin I needed a lot of it to wash. The main drawback was the lack of a kitchen sink, so filling the kettle meant getting water from the bathroom. The extractor fan runs all day and night, presumably to stop mould, and it’s loud enough to hear from bed. I get the reason for it, but it’s hard to be asked to “save water” while that fan is using electricity constantly.
