At $250 a night, I don’t think the chalet is worth the cost, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends. The bedroom and bathroom power comes from a generator, which went out a couple of times after dark. The bedroom blinds were mouldy, and one had a hole. The chalet is separate from the communal kitchen and dining area, which really disappointed us. That area is under Vaughan’s house, about a 30 metre walk away, and no umbrellas are provided, so carrying food over in the rain is a problem. There’s only a single ring gas stove for boiling a kettle, and no microwave. Parking is 50 metres uphill from the chalets. Vaughan was welcoming and offered to help with our luggage. The place is easy to find, and on a clear day you can see the ocean in the distance, though on a rainy day we only saw it for a couple of hours in the afternoon. There’s a nice balcony with hammocks outside the bedroom, and rainforest surrounds the chalets.

We only managed one night because of our schedule, but we wished we could have stayed two or three. The rainforest chalet was a really cool experience, with its own bedroom and bathroom, plus an outdoor sitting area with a pull-out couch and hammocks for enjoying the views. Vaughn was a fantastic host and made sure we had what we needed. If you need somewhere north of the Daintree River Ferry, this breathtaking property is a hidden gem.

Vaughan was friendly and very helpful, and the villas have an amazing view. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful too. We loved our stay, it was a lovely place to rest and recharge from everyday life.

We spent three nights at Coral Sea Views recently and had an incredible time. The scenery is hard to beat if you love beautiful views. Vaughan was a brilliant host and was happy to help with anything we needed. We’ll definitely come back when the weather improves. Thanks heaps, Vaughan!

A terrific stay, and I can’t recommend it enough. Just know that the owner lives quite close to the chalets, so you’ll see him each day. He’s a really nice guy and very accommodating. There are lots of attractions nearby, plus an ice creamery and a coffee van by the fan palm walk most days, both about a three minute drive away.
