Country Leisure Motor Inn

The room itself was very clean and the bathroom seemed fairly new, but the noise from the highway and nearby rooms was hard to ignore. As a solo traveller, I didn’t feel at ease, so I left for another place and lost the payment taken the day before. I’d booked a “corporate queen, newly refurbished,” expecting the more modern, upmarket motel shown in the marketing. Instead it was a cramped room in what felt like a 1950s drive-in motel, with a lace curtain looking onto the car park. It’s a budget motel, but the presentation and price suggest something better, and the photos don’t show what it’s really like.

For this price, I expected better. The motel I stayed in the night before cost less and was more suitable. Housekeeping also hadn’t properly maintained the room, with dust on the lounge, microwave bench and other surfaces.

I booked this for a friend’s last trip to Dubbo. The place was really clean, close to town, and the people were lovely.

Louise was especially helpful and went out of her way to sort a last-minute booking for me. The staff were courteous throughout. Our room had everything we needed, was clean, and came with a smart TV for streaming our movie apps. We even gave the pool a try, and the staff supplied pool towels at no charge. We enjoyed our stay. Well done, guys.
