The room was a decent size, quite dark, and had comfortable beds. The two staff members we met were courteous, friendly and helpful. But there was no daily servicing, and we were asked to wash our dishes without any detergent provided. I don’t think washing dishes in the bathroom basin is hygienic. We also had to get someone in to make the TV and air conditioning work. It felt overpriced and under serviced.

Reception service was lovely, and the room was clean with no bugs. The shared amenities were well maintained too. The pillows themselves were comfortable, but the protectors under their covers were quite worn and tattered, so next time I’d bring my own pillow. I was very happy with the value for money and would come back.

It’s in a good location, close to everything, and the room was very clean. Our bed was quite hard and not that comfortable. The room was also a little dark, with just one small window for natural light, though I think ours may have been the only one like that. The others seemed to have glass sliding doors instead of a solid door.

My own private room cost $175 a week, and I liked it. The receptionists were always friendly and polite, and the amenities were okay. It’s right in the middle of town, so everything is within reach. Nights can get noisy, though, with the bar next door and neighbours constantly arguing without anything being done about it.

The location made it easy to walk to cafes, shops and places to eat, and the staff were friendly. We stayed two nights in one of the cheaper units in Dec 2012, just needing a base to sleep while we explored the area. It was clean and tidy, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. The air con worked well, and the flat screen TV was bigger than ones we’d had elsewhere. We were very happy with what we got for the price. There are nicer units with more facilities, though we didn’t see inside them. Lovely town and setting.
