The location is handy for the town centre, but getting to the room means walking behind the bottle-o and its gross sulo bins. Inside, the building feels old and noise carries: I could hear other guests all night. A bright green ceiling light also made it hard to sleep if you’re sensitive to light. I paid for four nights and left after one. I asked for a refund but got nothing. It’s cheap, though there are similarly cheap places around town with private bathrooms and much less noise. I’d strongly advise avoiding this place.

Good value for the price, and the room was clean and comfortable in a great location. After-hours check-in was easy at the nearby pub. One odd thing: guests who book through bookings.com have to enter from behind the bottle shop, even though it looks like we could use the front entrance like everyone else.
