Murmeli Falls Creek

We've tried every resort in Aus, plus some in the US and Canada, and Falls Creek Hotel is a family favourite. It's good value, with a very friendly team and incredible food included in the dinner and breakfast package. There's a great discount at the shop downstairs, and kids can hire toboggans for free. We love the spa and sauna, and the kids enjoy the indoor pool. The lift is close by, the members lounge is cosy, and there's live music in the afternoons. You can see the fireworks beautifully from any level. The kids club is great for younger families, and there are plenty of games for a snowy day indoors. You can tell it's a family-run business. It makes our family snow trips wonderful, with happy memories.

We didn't stay overnight, but stopped in for lunch and a couple of mulled wines. Both were delicious, the staff were really friendly, and the place had great ambience. Loved sitting by the window to watch skiers and take in that amazing view.

The food had plenty beyond the usual pub options. We had a healthy bowl with crispy skin salmon, rich pumpkin soup to warm up, and a taste of someone else's laksa. The big schnitzels and towering fish and chips passing by looked like local landmarks. With a local beer and snow-dusted mountain views, it's a great lunch break on the slopes. Just don't tell too many people, it's worth keeping semi-secret. Falls Creek Hotel really got things right for us. The view across the mountain is a killer, and the service was even better than the food. Everyone was friendly, quick and charming, and made us feel like regulars as soon as we walked in. It genuinely lifted our trip.

Amazing place with fabulous location and customer service. The staff were so helpful, kind and caring. Definitely recommend.
