Frueauf Village

The pantry was stocked with local produce, which we happily ate our way through, and the heated floors on both levels made the apartment feel cozy. We stayed in the Sapporo penthouse, a two-bedroom place in a corner position with wraparound windows, two balconies and perfect views. For a family of six, a larger, warmer drying cupboard and more spare blankets would be useful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Brett and his team were super friendly, easy to talk to, and happy to try to meet our requests. They made sure we had what we needed throughout the stay, which was a breath of fresh air compared with some other mountain options. The rooms have huge spas, straightforward check-in and private storage. Great for couples or larger groups, and a brilliant ski-in, ski-out choice for a snow holiday.

Brett’s hospitality was second to none. He helped with our requests and even tracked down a mate’s iPhone that had been lost on the slopes, which made the stay that much better. The apartment was clean, comfortable and nicely equipped, with all the cooking gear and appliances we needed. The welcome food basket was a nice touch, and the balcony hot tub was amazing. Thanks, Brett. We’d love to visit again before the season ends.

Skiing back to the apartment for lunch and then relaxing in the deck hot tub after a day on the slopes was a highlight. We stayed in the Tomba one-bedroom with mezzanine at Frueauf Village, and it was perfect for our young family of four. The ski-in, ski-out access and nearby restaurants, including one on site, made the location hard to beat. Brett, the manager, gave us useful advice before and during the trip, and his dining suggestions worked really well for our family. He welcomed us with fresh Milawa bread, and the generous supplies meant we could make breakfast and lunch each day: milk, orange juice, eggs, cereal, jams, pancake mix, apples and plenty of coffee pods. That left us free to splurge on dinner. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped, with underfloor heating, extra spa towels, toiletries, dishwasher pods and a hairdryer. Those thoughtful details made it feel like great value. We’ll be back. There’s nothing quite like an Alpine getaway. Thanks, Brett, for making the trip memorable.
