The stay felt worth it from start to finish. Our room was tidy, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. They'd even switched on the air-conditioning before we arrived, which was much appreciated. We used the vouchers the hotel gave us to try the Bowling club next door, just a three-minute walk away. The meal was good value.

We were handed vouchers for mini golf and meal deals nearby when we arrived, and the room itself felt roomy and homey. The care in the little details really stood out: the toilet had a clean seal, the balcony had been swept and mopped, and the air-conditioning and TV were already on. Even the tea and coffee came with Australian-made milk and biscuits from not-for-profit companies. It felt like family service. I honestly can't remember the last time I enjoyed an evening away from home this much. We were blown away when we checked into Forster Palms Motel.

The pool was a nice place for the kids to burn off energy. It wasn't fancy, but it was mostly clean. We chose takeaway instead of eating at the Bowls club, though we did get drinks vouchers when we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable, even with its dated, almost novel 80s look. Air-conditioning worked well and we could park right outside the door. For a one-night stay, it was handy being close to the beach. After our last stop in Canberra at a 1-star hotel, this felt like a step up.

The pool was the highlight for the kids, and it was clean and a good size. Staff were kind and polite, and the rooms were fine, though a little dated and short on outlets. The bowling club owns the motel, so you get coupons to use next door. Join as a social member, which is free with the coupon, and you can get member prices. We had a good family stay, and we'd choose this place again if we come back.

The Bowling club is right next door if you want a meal or a drink. Our room was spacious, neat, and had what we needed for an overnight stay. It was an extremely hot day, so we really appreciated the staff turning the A/C on before we got there.
